Daddy's Gonna Flip!

Short and sweet.

The kids were dragging all of their toys, trucks, balls, etc. into our bedroom while Scott and I were enjoying some quiet time watching TV. They began getting rowdy so Scott said to them. "Take all that stuff back to the family room and you guys can play there." With disgruntled looks, one by one they left carrying whatever treasures they had brought into the room.

A few minutes later, Scott gets up and goes to the garage for something. The little people notice this and once again head my way. Of course, bringing their annoying toys treasures back into our room again.

Then the following transpired.

ME: "Oh, boy! Daddy's gonna flip when he sees that you guys brought all that stuff back in here."

ANNA GRACE: (serious as can be) "Mama, Daddy can't flip! He's too old and he'll hurt himself!"

I laughed so hard that I just had to give in and allow their noisy, siren-sounding, screeching, treasures to stay in the room.

Dear friend,

I'm sitting hear cracking up (on the inside) so as not to wake my children . We had one of those "tripping over Hot Wheels" kind of days here . . . you know, where every time you turn your back, the mess multiplies? If this mama wasn't so old, she would have "flipped" today as well!

In regards to your "Not me's" . . . I can just hear you laughing LOUDLY in the library, poor Scott. And Keifer looks adorable in his new duds, but I must say, he looks highly offended that you photographed him in it!

Blessings to your crew!

Oh this is funny! Sounds SO much like our house. Most people my husband's and my age are raising teenagers or enjoying the empty nest - so we are just slightly "aged" to our 4 & 5 year old. My husband tells people that by the time the last one is out of diapers, we'll be going into them. (I tell him to speak for himself.) Our little princess likes to tease her Daddy over his "hair-deficiency." heheheheh

I like your blog...
pYzam. . . thing at bottom I will check out and I appreciate all those sidebar widgets. May have to come back with more time to grab some. I'll be back. . .
And here's the reason I visit this a.m. - I got tagged. :-( Gotta' love your blog friends, and these things sometimes annoy me -- but I'm a team player. So... I tagged the most recent six new followers of my own blog.

lol!! Kids sure have a way of tellin it like it is! I know I would seriously injure myself if I even attempted a flip.

Hey Guys - well I do kinda love that one! I'm thinking about getting a cow bell for Braelyn - the 'stealth child' has a habit of playing right by your feet, of course you turn to do something - and discover that we adults really CAN flip if we have a strong enough motive too!

hugs -

My boys are quick to remind me that I am not as young as I used to be. Tomorrow I am running a 5k just to show them that I still can. :)

Hello. That is so funny! Our kids are teens and I am sure they think we are ancient (well, to them we are). Loved the pictures of the hotdog too!
