"Once our eyes are opened, we cannot pretend we don't know what to do. God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows that we know, and holds us responsible to act." Proverbs 24:12

I believe it's time for me to flyyyyyyy!

Do you remember my excitement when I wrote THIS post?

Well, the time has finally arrived. Tomorrow at this time, Scott and I will be boarding a plane to Washington, DC and having 9 wonderful grown-up days traveling through our nation's capital, beautiful Amish country Pennsylvania, and taking in the mountains of West Virginia. We are so ready!

I've been feeling a twinge of guilt not taking the kids, but I know they will be loved and spoiled by my sister and Mom, who will be staying at our house as to not break up their routine. (Ily and Mom - you are angels! I love you both and thank you so much for this huge gift!!!)

As always, I am running around taking care of last minute things, including needing to pack.

Lastly, please keep our kiddos (especially Anna Grace) in our prayers that they understand that Mama and Daddy ALWAYS come back. That the Lord allow their little minds to have fun and not have any worries on their minds.

Also, if you could please pray for a safe trip for us and that it be a time for us to refresh and enjoy our treasured time together as a couple.

I will try to post on our blog whenever possible (probably on the road), since I want to journal our trip in as much detail as possible. So, don't forget to check in throughout the week!

Two Years of Sheer Joy!

Our precious AJ with his forever family and his THREE Godparents who just happen to be his Po-Po, his big sister and his cousin, Anthony.

Two years ago, July 17, we walked into a courtroom filled with anxiety and excitement at the thought that our sweet AJ, days shy of turning 4 months old, would legally be forever ours. Our hearts already knew the second we first held you, just minutes after you were born, that you were ours completely.

After answering the many questions the judge had for us and for Amanda we were elated
to hear the words, "Congratulations! Your son is now officially Arthur Joseph Bombardier!"

AJ's been the light of our lives and is just the sweetest (although very obstinate), loving and absolutely funniest little man I know. He keeps us laughing daily and he is definitely a snuggle bug.

Lord, we could never praise you enough for the blessing you have bestowed upon us with this special treasure.

AJ, our hearts never knew it could hold so much love. One of the hardest things I've ever had to do was leaving you to go bring home your brother from China, when you were just 6 days old. You are amazing and we are honored and privileged to be your family.
