"Once our eyes are opened, we cannot pretend we don't know what to do. God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows that we know, and holds us responsible to act." Proverbs 24:12

Such mixed emotions

I have been totally engulfed in a project that I am doing for my Dad's 67th birthday, and have had everything that could go wrong, do so. But, while working on it today, I took a small break and just had a feeling to go over to my sister's blog, which I haven't been to in a while, because honestly there is not much going on with her adoption wait for baby Isabella (NSN).

When her page opened up. I felt a huge tug at my heart and immediately after I began reading, the tears started pouring. Those of you that read my blog often know how much I love my family, but my sister and I (7 years apart) have a bond that is truly cemented in the Lord. Words can't describe how much I love her and how parallel our lives have been because of God's leading. I am so honored to serve such a merciful, loving and forgiving Father.

My sister's story is hers to tell, and one that I didn't know about until many years after the fact. Ironically, my heart has always been led towards pregnant mothers and their unborn babies. even while Ily's untold story was happening. Of course, part of God's plan.

I encourage everyone who reads this to go and read Ily's post from yesterday at Journey to Isabella and listen to the beautiful song (remember to pause the music on the sidebar first) that goes with it. It is a story filled with honesty and love, both for her child and for our Savior.

Ily, I love you so very much! You have a pure and true heart for Jesus and we both know that you will someday be united with Baby Elizabeth....and so will I. I can't wait! Thank you for sharing from the depths of your heart. I know it isn't easy, but everytime you do, you glorify our Lord. I am honored to call you my sister. XXXOOO!

Today marks a sad day in history.

On this, the 35th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, I ask for those of you that pray to please lift up all of those unborn babies and the mother's that are carrying them. By 8 weeks in utero, not only do these tiny gifts have a beating heart, but they have a brain, arms, legs, knee joints, eyelids and even fingernails are forming.

I know that each of us that have adopted, are especially grateful that our children's birth mother's decided to give them a chance at life.

Most Mericful and Loving Father,

On this, the 35th anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision, a decision made by man, we plead that you please protect all those who are standing firm in their beliefs that every child has a right to life beginning at conception. Keep this a peaceful march but forceful with its message. Please equip each of the marchers with the armor of God and that any adversity may be thwarted and converted to an understanding of respect life.

Most of all, Lord Jesus, bring an end to the killing of all unborn babies. May their mothers be protected and filled with the knowledge that they are bearing an amazing gift from You. We also pray that our politicians, especially those currently running for office, will be inspired by all participating in this march and taking a stand. May they examine their consciences on this issue.

We thank you Lord for our beautiful children and pray fervently for blessings upon their birth mothers for having said "Yes" and having respected that these are Your precious children that were given to us as gifts.

In Your blessed name we pray.

Amen.

A perfect season...AFC Champions....what more could we ask for?

Aaahh, yes. I almost forgot....NOT!!!!! A SUPERBOWL RING! We're on our way, baby!

I have lots of Packers friends that would have loved to be there, but my heart really wanted the Giants to win. They've played with such heart, especially against their loss to the Patriots a few weeks ago, and we just can't wait to push 'em all around the field in Arizona. Wooohoooo!!!!

The boys are roaring to go. They've made history by playing a perfect season and beating the Dolphin's record, now let's take it all the way and come home with that ring!

GO PATRIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
