Your prayers were heard. We got through the storm with no damage and minimal inconvenience, which included 12 hrs without power and still no phone lines, but if that's the biggest of our problems, we really have none.
Our hurricane shutters are not coming down quite yet. We now await to see what happens with a new little something brewing out there. We should know more by the weekend.

Here we go again!
Ah, yes! The never ending excitement of living in Florida.
Please keep us in your prayers as we expect tropical storm Fay to turn into a category 1 hurricane and pound into SW Florida (where we live) sometime in the next 24 hours.
Although we've been through many hurricanes, and this one certainly isn't anything to be too concerned about, it still is a bit worrisome when you have kids, especially little ones. A Hurricane Warning is already in effect for our area. For those of you that are not real sure what exactly a hurricane warning is, it indicates sustained winds of at least 74 mph are predicted for that designated area of the coastline within 24 hours. When this warning is issued, all residents should complete disaster action plans and seek shelter in the safest location.
To my fellow Floridian readers, stay safe and may God protect your home and family as we ride yet another one of mother nature's rollercoasters together.
