Ah, yes! The never ending excitement of living in Florida.
Please keep us in your prayers as we expect tropical storm Fay to turn into a category 1 hurricane and pound into SW Florida (where we live) sometime in the next 24 hours.
Although we've been through many hurricanes, and this one certainly isn't anything to be too concerned about, it still is a bit worrisome when you have kids, especially little ones. A Hurricane Warning is already in effect for our area. For those of you that are not real sure what exactly a hurricane warning is, it indicates sustained winds of at least 74 mph are predicted for that designated area of the coastline within 24 hours. When this warning is issued, all residents should complete disaster action plans and seek shelter in the safest location.
To my fellow Floridian readers, stay safe and may God protect your home and family as we ride yet another one of mother nature's rollercoasters together.

Oh, my! Stay safe, Ohilda!! Please keep us updated!
Ohilda and Scoot et al - prayers for a 'near miss' - but it really looks like Fay is a sissy! Look at it this way - some 'quality time' with Keifer - and - maybe as long as the 'net feed and power hold - time to catch up on the blogs! Stay safe -

Hello friend!
Glad you were safe from the storm, have been out of touch traveling--hope it didn't come back around again, crazy Fay. One thing I don't miss about living in Florida!
Good to catch up on the rest of your trip, and see the newest member of your family, Kiefer, too cute.
Especially enjoyed your account of your visit with the Amish family, eye opening, to say the least.
Have a great week!
Blessings~
Tina
