Watching water boil...

I've been asked lately how it's going with the new adoption. "What new adoption?" is my first thought.

Have you ever stood over a big pot of water waiting for it to boil? Well, that's what it feels like. Yet, as God promised with our last three children, I know He's working behind the scenes. I've yet to once pray about this situation and feel that maybe it's not what we should be doing. I always end up with that same inexplicable peace in knowing that He's got it under control. So, trust me....I've been praying A LOT!

I know His timing is perfect and if I meddle with His perfection, chances are pretty good it'll end up being disastrous. So, I continue to stand over the huge pot, watching and praying for teeny-tiny bubbles to form at the bottom.

I'll close with one of the entries in my journal for this adoption. I just love it when God does little things like this!! :)

God keep’s showing me little signs. Today we drove past two little girls with an adorable lemonade stand, selling lemonade for 25 cents a cup. They waved and we kept going. I felt bad and told Scott to turn around and buy a couple of cups of lemonade from them.

We pulled up and asked for 2 cups, the little girl hands them to me. I give one to Scott and keep one. When I look at my cup, it’s got “Diego” on the cup with big letters next to it that say “African Adventure”. Thank you Lord! You made my day!

I love it when little things like happen and God lets us know that we are on the right path, we just have to trust and wait. The waiting is so hard though :)

Yep....I love it when things like that happen also!

I also feel we are supposed to have another child and am just waiting on God. I dreamed the other night someone gave us their newborn baby....I don't know who they were though but it was a really odd dream. I guess I think about it too much.

I love to read of the tiny details of your own African Adventure . . . it has begun you know, however tiny the first bubbles. We know that His timing is perfect--thankfully along the way He gives us such sweet signs--as we watch and pray!

Blessings my friend!

I LOVE God! He is so magnificent and creative! He just delights in His children, doesn't He?
He knows the desires of your heart my friend, indeed, I believe that those desires you have CAME from Him!
Can't wait to see those bubbles rise up and start moving!!

Ohilda, whenever I read your blog, I feel that we are living the same life. I also struggle with the question of 'what more can I do?' God has planted a seed of love for African children in my heart and I am waiting to see where He leads us.
