Three very happy kiddos that have been so excited to go to "Mama's Homeschool". That's what they call it. So cute!

I'm not sure if many of you knew, but I've been homeschooling Amanda now for almost a year. She's doing beyond great! I've prayed and prayed about whether or not to homeschool the little ones and each time I have, I would feel God's nudging me to do so. I waited. I prayed some more and again, the answer was, "Yes! This is what I want you to do." So here we are!

Summer's almost over and we've been busy, busy, busy. (Lots of pictures to be shared soon) We've had trips to the beach, weekly trips to the movies, to the park, lots of pool playing at our new house, and playdates with friends. Soon it will all be coming to a close. On August 23rd, Mama's Homeschool will be open for business! Our curriculum is set and we just need to get a few more odds and ends to complete what we hope and expect to be a spectacular year!

I know many of you homeschool and as I've picked brains asked many of you on FaceBook for your ideas, I'm also asking those of you that read the blog.

It's gonna be a whole new world for all of us. We're excited and ready to jump in with both feet! We have lots of plans that include many fun activities while we learn!

If you homeschool or even if you don't, and have resources, ideas, or just want to give me your input, feel free to email me or leave me a comment. As always, I love hearing from you!!!!

Oh, if you're wondering about socialization for the kids.....read THIS! I loved it!

ROFL!!!! I LOVE that! I cannot remember one great thing that happened socially for my big kids in school! Even in our community back in Texas, the high school is allowing the homeschool kids to participate in sports.

I am so proud of you and I look forward to hearing about your days of homeschooling because......I am right behind you. Although, I don't think we will start until September or maybe even later. We really need a house for homeschool..lol! Love you!

Congratulations! What a great gift you are giving your children!
(and this from an educator of 35 years!) They will get the best socialization possible with their momma and other adults who love them nurturing, modeling, interacting, and being intimately involved in their play with siblings, and children of all ages and backgrounds! Praying for you.
Just an aside - the room looks great - if the little ones will be spending time at the table I'd adjust either the table or chairs so that feet can comfortable touch the floor and elbows are even with the table. Mostly kids that age will be sprawled on the floor, snuggled next to their "teacher" or standing at the tables - as you know, very little sitting - learning is too exciting for that!

So proud of you! As a 20+ years homeschooling mom there isn't anything else I'd rather be doing than giving my kids the best I can for them. Love the socialization article, I'll have to post that in my blog too! I sent you an e-mail awhile ago, I don't know whether you got it or not, we'll have to get together for a field trip this year. Wow - you're back - two blog posts back to back! Missed ya (but as you can see - still check ya!)

I wouldn't know the first thing about HS - but would always support any parent that is doing what's best for their kids!

And now we know why you moved - you wanted a house with a classroom! ;)

hugs - aus and co.
